Guenter Lang |

Professor Lang studied economics at the
University of Augsburg, where he also obtained his
postgraduate qualification. He was visiting professor at the
Technical University Ilmenau and at the University of
Klagenfurt (Austria). His professional experience includes
lecture visits at the Academy of Management (Munich), the
Association of Industrial and Trade Firms (Augsburg), the
Warsaw School of Economics (Poland), and the University of
Bratislava (Slovakia). He is faculty member of the MBA
program of the University of Augsburg, associate faculty
member of the Elite Graduate Program "Finance and
Information Management", member of the German Economic
Association, the industrial organization group at the German
Economic Association, and the media economics group at the
German Association of communication. Starting in the winter
term 2006/07, he is visiting professor of economics at the
GUC. |

Research Interests |
|
|
His main research area is the empirical
analysis at the microeconomic level. In particular, Guenter
Lang uses econometric methods to estimate the
characteristics of firm technology and demand behaviour, the
degree of management efficiency, and the determinants of
wages. More recently, he has become interested in questions
of price forecasting and the analysis of environmental
problems like global warming. In complementary research, he
is also interested in the analysis and optimal design of
economic policy. |

Ms.
Ronia Hawash |
|
Ms. Ronia Hawash has obtained her Bachelors Degree from the
faculty of Economics and Political Science (Cairo
University) in 2001, and holds a Masters degree in Economics
from the American University in Cairo since 2005.
Ronia has been teaching in the London School of Economics
External Program in Cairo, the American University in Cairo,
and Misr International University. She has also worked as a
part-time research assistant in a number of USAID-funded
projects. She is currently working as a lecturer assistant at the German University in Cairo.

Mrs. Hebatallah Ghoneim |
|
Mrs. Heba received her Bachelors Degree from the faculty of
Economics and Political Science (Cairo University) English
section in 2002 with grade "very good". She is in the process of
obtaining a Masters degree in Economics from the American
University in Cairo.
Ms. Heba had worked in Cairo –Barclays bank (2003). She is
currently working as a teaching assistant in the German
University in Cairo since January 2004.
