Study Regulations

General Management

  1. The bachelor study program of General Management consists of 8 semesters. First semester courses always start in the winter semester. All students take the same Management courses up to the 6th semesters. Common sciences foundation courses are given to all students during the first two semesters at the university.

  2. During the 7th and 8th semester students of General Management study two of the following majors for obtaining their Bachelor degree: Economics, Strategic Management, Finance, Marketing, Production & Operations, Management Control, Human Resources & Organizational Behavior, Information Systems, International Business, Innovation and Technology Management.

  3. An industrial practical training (internship) of at least six weeks duration is required for graduation. The recommended period for the internship is the summer between the 4th and 5th or between the 6th and 7th semester.

  4. A Bachelor Thesis has to be prepared and presented before graduation. A thesis of at least 8 weeks is required.

Technology-Based Management

  1. The bachelor study program of General Management and Technology-based Management consists of 8 semesters. First semester courses always start in the winter semester. All students take the same Management courses up to the 6th semesters. Common sciences foundation courses are given to all students during the first two semesters at the university.

  2. Students of Technology-based Management can choose between one of the following technology fields of study: Information Technology, Pharmacy & Biotechnology, Environmental Technology, Materials Engineering, and Electronics. Up to the 6th semester, these students take courses of (in total) at least 10 teaching hours in addition to the General Management study program. Students may register and start studying their selected technology field in the 2nd and no later than the 4th semester (a minimum number of students for each field is required).

  3. During the 7th and 8th semester students of Technology-based Management study at least one of the following majors for obtaining their Bachelor degree: Economics, Strategic Management, Finance, Marketing, Production & Operations, Management Control, Human Resources & Organizational Behavior, Information Systems, International Business, Innovation and Technology Management.

  4. Students of Technology-based Management continue taking courses in the selected technology field of at least 30 teaching hours altogether.

  5. An industrial practical training (internship) of at least six weeks duration is required for graduation. The recommended period for the internship is the summer between the 4th and 5th or between the 6th and 7th semester.

  6. A Bachelor Thesis has to be prepared and presented before graduation. A thesis of at least 8 weeks is required.

Business Informatics

  1. The Business Informatics study program combines the basic knowledge of the management studies with computer science. Within the is program, one third of the courses are regular management courses, one third is from the Engineering Faculty, and one third of the courses are especially designed to combine these knowledge fields and to teach the core of the business informatics subjects (e.g. enterprise systems, e-business, etc.).

  2. The Bachelor program has a set schedule for 8 semesters.

  3. A three month internship must be completed before graduation.

  4. Bachelor graduation project is three month in length and must be presented at the seminar of the 8th semester.
